Winter Business & Non Profit Forum features Event Industry & Non Profit Experts on Feb 10

In partnership with the NJSBDC at Stockton University, our chamber presents Dr Criscione-Naylor and Carol Waties, Esq livestream “Rebounding Events: Moving past Covid-19” focusing on crisis management and communication in the industry.

As we continue our 107 year tradition of providing programming that address the needs of Long Beach Island Region’s business community. This dynamic forum will take place online, on Wednesday February 10 beginning 10am via Zoom; delivering a much needed program addressing the need to make events possible in the Covid19 era.

The informative morning session will discuss the impact Covid 19 has had on the industry, local impact, realities for future events, a NJ Covid19 information hub with in state standards, rebound indicators and predictions as well as strategies for event hosts. It will also address How to Thrive after Covid19 with focus on patterns, collaborations, assessing what the community needs and creating viable income streams.

The presenters feature Dr. Noel Criscione-Naylor is an Associate Professor in the Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management Studies program at Stockton University. She is a multi-certified educational leader with over 12 years of Casino Gaming Management experience and recognized for measurable successes in customer service, productivity, and performance development. Dr. Criscione-Naylor is trained in Lean and Six Sigma and has successfully led over 40 kaizen projects across major gaming markets in North America including but not limited to Atlantic City, NJ; Chester, PA; Las Vegas, NV; Tunica, MS, and Chicago, IL focused on revenue development, workforce optimization, and service capability totaling over $100 million in costs savings during her executive leadership.

Carol Waites, Director of the NJSBDC at Stockton University since May 2016, is an experienced Attorney, NonProfit Director, Small Business owner and Adjunct Professor. Ms. Waties is a Business and Community Development Professional recognized for creating successful, innovative, practical and transformative solutions, assisting, educating, training and advancing individuals, groups, organizations, neighborhoods and communities. In addition to oversight and management of the Center’s operations, staff and consultants, she provides training and technical assistance on topics including Starting A Small Business, Building A Winning Business Plan, Marketing, and Certifications, Procurement and Government Contracts.

There is no fee to attend, Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce members get priority placement to this event.
