Small Business continues to move ahead to overcome the many challenges from the past year, our chamber is proud to join the US Travel Association in recognizing Tourism Week May 3-7 2021.
The Long Beach Island Region comprises hundreds of small businesses that are crucial to the local economy, add in the importance of National Tourism Week; there is a lot to recognize the first week of May. An important message this year is the need to staff to guarantee success this season.
 The Southern Ocean Chamber will host its May membership meeting during the week on May 5 held via Zoom as well as joining New Jersey Tourism Industry Association on May 6 for an online Tourism Advocacy Day event with invited guests from across the state to share tourism and economic data. The week will also begin with a dedicated broadcast from their radio show the LBI Region Report on WBNJ 91.9 FM Monday at 9am  and social media shout-outs to jobseekers to help fill employment roles along with the popular Eat, Drink & Buy LBI region and Boost Box campaigns providing consumers easy access to local deals and specials.
