Teen Worker Bill Expands Seasonal Employment Hours

Gov. Phil Murphy has signed the newest bill to help off set the labor shortage for the summer season. This bill would permit minors between 16 and 18 years of age to work up to 50 hours in a week during the summer period beginning the last day of the minor’s school year and ending on Labor Day. A parent or guardian’s permission is required. The bill takes effect immediately and expires on September 6, 2021.  We are so grateful to have been a part of the coalition with NJ Business Industry Association & NJ Tourism Industry Association to make our community heard.
