In Wedding & Party Planning

The couple was married on September 14, 2018 at Mallard Island Yacht Club. “We chose Mallard because it was the perfect combination of beach and chic. The grounds were beautiful and it had everything we needed in one place,” Susan shared. The duo wanted to introduce their wedding guests to some of their favorite things of LBI and used many member vendors to make their day extra special!

The Local Market & Kitchen in Ship Bottom, LBI provided sandwiches for the bridal party on the day of the wedding. Shore Good Donuts created a donut table for the wedding with 14 dozen donuts, “They were a total hit!” Susan said. The couple also hosted an after-party with snacks provided by The Chicken or the Egg. “It was the perfect treat at the end of the night, and helped introduce our guests to another one of our LBI favorites,” Susan added.

They also made sure to feature local beer from Ship Bottom Brewery, “We loved being able to provide a local beer to our guests that was available at the bar,” Susan remarked. The twosome had their rehearsal dinner and welcome reception at The Plantation Restaurant in Harvey Cedars. Susan continued, “ It was the perfect spot to host our rehearsal dinner with private space upstairs and the big bar downstairs.”

The bride made most of the decorations herself. “We made sea glass signs/table numbers, and had starfish on the place settings. One of my favorite details was the card box my husband made that was made to look like Barnegat lighthouse (it even lit up!). We gave out coozies as favors and had “Exit 63” magnets in our welcome bags,” Susan concluded.
