State and Local Officials Join Businesses in Opening New Chamber Office

Southern Ocean County Chamber cuts ribbon on new era of service

Rounding out their 110th year, the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce officially opened the next era of service by cutting the ribbon at their Stafford Township office located at 703 Mill Creek Road.  The beautiful weather on November 19 was the perfect setting for a celebration that included networking, morning refreshments, and honors. The Southern Ocean County Board and staff were surrounded by local businesses, new neighbors and elected officials to welcome all to the new space and rededicated focus to the chamber mission of fostering growth and prosperity of the region. The Southern Ocean County Chamber represents businesses in Lacey Township, Ocean Township, Barnegat Township, Stafford Township, Eagleswood Township, Tuckerton, Little Egg Harbor and all of Long Beach Island. 

Stafford Township Councilman Steven Esposito, Assemblyman Brian Rumpf, and Ocean County Business Advisory Board and Lacey Deputy Mayor Peter Curatolo provided opening remarks as well as state and county citations.  President Jerry Thompson, of the Van Dyk Group and Vice President Elizabeth Giglio of Barlow Buick GMC presided over the cutting of the ribbon,  Special thanks to Kate Krier, Business Development Coordinator and the board members Jerry Thompson, President Van Dyk Group, Elizabeth Giglio First Vice President Barlow Buick GMC, Carol Holmes Second Vice President, Health Village Imaging, Michele Cuff Treasurer, SOCA, Lori Pepenella, Secretary SOCA, Laura Benson Berry, Sahradnik, Kotzas & Benson, Michele Collins-Davies, Stockton University, Marie Daley, Beasley Media Group, Tanek Hood, Reynolds Landscaping, Michele Morrison, Southern Ocean Medical Center, HMH, Danielle Roselli, Manasquan Bank, and Christina Ulinski Ping , Residence at Stafford.  The chamber board values all the support and volunteerism from members to get the new offices open and ready for a busy new year.

The Board is building a calendar of business-oriented gatherings that will kick off in January 2025. The group will host its final event of the year Dec 4 at their Holiday Cocktail Party taking place at LBI National Golf & Resort
