Stanley Cup made it to LBI as part its New Jersey Tour

The Stanley Cup was greeted in style Friday evening July 16 on the rooftop of Hotel LBI. With the Tampa Bay Lightning win of the 2021 NHL Championship, each player gets to properly celebrate with the cup. Hotel LBI owner Chris Vernon along with family and staff greeted Forward Ross Colton, a NJ native,  with a ceremony and private event at the Ship Bottom property.

The cup traveled from Montreal to Robbinsville NJ to be presented to Ross Colton for the day. The hectic schedule of the Stanley Cup found itself welcome on Long Beach Island. Ross Colton addressed the audience of family, friends and supporters. Featured speakers included Robbinsville Mayor Dave Fried, Mr Chris Vernon of Hotel LBI and Ice Land Coach Chris Barcless.  Lori Pepenella, CEO of Southern Ocean County Chamber presented certificates to Ross Colton and Tampa Bay Lightning for showcasing the cup on Long Beach Island as well as Hotel LBI owner Chris Vernon for having the honor of hosting it.
