Southern Ocean Chamber Recognized for Assisting Area Businesses

The Board of Directors and Staff of Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce was recognized by the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders for their unshakable commitment to the business community of the Long Beach Island Region. Freeholder Director Joseph Vicari, who chairs Ocean County Tourism & Business Development presented the certificate at the chamber’s November 11 meeting at the Mainland, Manahawkin.

Our 106 year chamber and members were honored for rising to the challenges of 2020, especially those of small business. The certificate cites that the chamber developed a host of meaningful and beneficial programs, never losing hope and always displaying resilience during these difficult times.

Plans for 2021 are underway to continue to provide resources and consumer outreach for area businesses and non profit organizations. The Annual State of the Chamber is set for January 13 featuring renowned economist Joel Naroff. Please look for information regarding details of this and other important business programs.
