All business people are welcome to attend events this September that provide insight into local businesses and programs. On Tuesday September 25 the chamber will be presenting their successful Women in Business Roundtable series. The popular program will be hosted by Urgent Care Now 1395 Rt 539, Little Egg Harbor. The event will begin at 10am, refreshments will be served along with morning networking. The speakers will include Erin Shrader, LBP, Clinical Manager and Ellyn Hill, Nurse Practitioner, who will be discussing the history and mission of UCN. Megan Lange, Marketing Coordinator will talk about their community involvement and wellness program.The purpose of these meetings are to strengthen the opportunities for women doing business in our community, it was created by the Southern Ocean Chamber as an informal way to build relationships and create a support system for women in any chapter of their career.
On Thursday September 27, come out for an after hours social gathering at Hackensack Meridian Health Southern Ocean Medical Center to meet Chief Operating Officer Regina Foley and learn about their Pet Therapy Program. Pet Therapy specialist Bob DeSalvo and dog Dakota will be there for a meet and greet as well. Refreshments and food provided by the Southern Ocean Medical Center Foundation with opportunities to network throughout the event. Event will run from 530 to 730PM at Southern Ocean Medical Center Beach Plum Conference Room 1140 Rt 72 W Manahawkin.

Another fantastic fall networking opportunity, is to volunteer for Chowderfest Weekend happening at Taylor Avenue Ballfield in Beach Haven. Volunteer are scheduled Saturday September 29 from 915am-5pm and Sunday September 30 from 915am to 5pm. Other shifts are available, such as set up Friday Sept 28 noon to five pm and Clean up Monday Oct 1 noon to 6pm. Volunteer forms are available by contacting the Southern Ocean Chamber office.
