Southern Ocean Chamber partners with Lacey for Commerce Committee

The region’s chamber brings together business, non profit and local leadership to find short and long term collaborative solutions.

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce works towards successful partnerships, such as the popular Downtown Driven Program to continue creating impactful projects that fit within the new schedules and business practices of the COVID19 era. As part of the 2021 Commerce & Community Strategic plan, the region’s chamber has secured a substantial research project t look at changes in how residents, second homeowners and visitors plan to utilize the LBI region for remote work, schooling and recreation. The organization has engaged Dr Brian Tyrell of Stockton University to oversee the survey who worked with the business community in a 2017 study.  In addition to assisting with the research, the Lacey Township Commerce Committee’s purpose is to create impactful resources that assist visitors, residents and businesses.

As a town specific committee, it includes municipal leadership, nonprofit and  business members to advise Southern Ocean Chamber staff on key issues and needs to advance important Lacey Township strategies. This insight can begin a cross community connection that will strengthen the  quality of life and  economic development that are key to future successes. The committee will be featured under the Explore Lacey section of visitLBIregion.com. The group is set to meet monthly, including core members: Peter Curatola – Mayor, Lacey Township, Sylvia Cardillo – Every Bloomin’ Thing, Celia Mendelsohn – Coastal Volunteers in Medicine, Christina Ping – Community Liaison, Al Dompieri – Jersey Shore Car Shows, Kate Krier – Southern Ocean Chamber, Katie Clayton – Coordinator, 150th Anniversary Committee and Marie Daley – Beasley Media and Lori Pepenella of Southern Ocean County Chamber.

The working group invites additional members to contribute to the conversation, by contacting the chamber directly.
