Free TIPS on Premise Certification Course for all Southern Ocean County Establishments to be held at The Arlington in Ship Bottom

The Dart Prevention Coalition, RWJ Barnabas Health, Southern Ocean Chamber Association, and Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce is offering Free Tips Training for the region’s bartenders, servers, and alcohol sales associates. Several Ocean County municipalities, bars, restaurants, liquor stores and festivals require all serving to be TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) trained and certified. This free TIPS on Premise Certification Course has been created specifically for Southern Ocean County and will take place Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 11am to 2pm at The Arlington, 1302 Long Beach Blvd in Ship Bottom.

The certification is designed for alcoholic beverages that are consumed on property. The course focuses on assisting servers and sellers of alcoholic beverages to recognize the signs of intoxication, prevent the sale of alcohol to minors, handle alcohol related situations with confidence, and how to use proven strategies to prevent related problems. The results will take approximately 2-5 weeks, with certification cards sent electronically. Those that pass the course will have a valid certification for three years. 

Seating is limited, and registration is required to attend.
