Southern Ocean Chamber Member Receives American Institute of Architects Honor

Malcolm Burton has been named the recipient of the 2021 AIA Jersey Shore Architect of the Year Award and moves to statewide consideration for the AIA New Jersey Service Awards.

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce congratulates member and past Board Officer Malcolm C. Burton on his achievement of earning the American Institute of Architects Jersey Shore Section 2021 Architect of the Year.  As a local professional and community leader, Burton, who maintains his office in Manahawkin, has been active within our Southern Ocean community. As a volunteer, he has dedicated his time with the regional chamber, Boy Scouts of the Jersey Shore and developing projects that interject his industry expertise.

Malcolm began his architectural business in 2007 and has been instrumental in rebuilding the shore since Super Storm Sandy. He will be joining his section for an award ceremony later this month, and is currently under consideration at the statewide level for further recognition.

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce has been home to local experts since 1914, and is proud to consider Malcolm C. Burton a member and friend.
