Southern Ocean Chamber Announces Board for 110th Anniversary

One of the most recognized chambers in the state, the original LBI Board of Trade continues to innovate

For over a century the Southern Ocean Chamber has been a staple for the residents and guests of Ocean County by supporting economic development that benefit small businesses. Founded in Philadelphia in 1914, the Long Beach Island Board of Trade has evolved to meet the needs of an ever changing world.  From encouraging responsible growth through the development of infrastructure including schools, paving roads and building of the first automobile bridge connecting the island to the mainland;  disaster relief and communications from superstorms to the pandemic,  to establishing iconic programs such as LBI Surf Fishing Tournament, Miss Magic, Wedding Road Show and Chowderfest.

With new focus and initiatives, the organization welcomes in the 2024 Board of Directors, including the new slate of  officers President Jerry Thompson, The Van Dyk Group, Vice President Elizabeth Giglio Barlow, GMC, Second Vice President Carol Holmes, HVI, and Treasurer Andrea Driscoll  of The Sandpaper. New Directors Michele Morrison of HMH Southern Ocean Medical Center, Ashley Strac of Health Village Imaging, Christina Ping of The Residence of Stafford and Danielle Roselli of Manasquan Bank will join reappointed board members Lori Pepenella, CEO, Michele Cuff, CFO, Michele Collins- Davies Stockton University, Marie Daley Beasley Media Group, Tanek Hood, Reynolds Landscaping,  Laura Benson of Berry, Sahradnik, Kotzas, & Benson, and JB Maschal of Country Kettle.
