The Yoga Hive in Manahawkin, NJ is a yoga studio offering 30 classes per week for all levels and tastes. The Yoga Hive opened in November of 2017 in the Manhawkin Mart, and is run by husband/wife team, Jenn McConnell and Kevin Corey. “Yoga for us has always been about building a community. A community of people that empower each other, guide each other and allow space for you to be yourself,” Corey shared.
The studio’s vast array of classes includes: All Level, Gentle, Intermediate-Warm, Restorative, Yin, Beginner and more. In addition to their many yoga classes, they also offer free meditation classes. “We’ve created a space for everyone to feel like they are home. We promise to never judge you or make you feel anything less than anyone else,” Corey added. The studio also has regular training programs and workshops, including their 200 hour and 300 hour yoga teacher trainings.
The Yoga Hive places a strong emphasis on being an eco-friendly business and works to reduce their carbon footprint by offering members filtered water (instead of water bottles) and digital receipts. Their retail items are also focused around creating a better planet, by offering eco-friendly yoga mats to borrow or purchase and accessories/products hand-crafted by members of a non-profit organization. Corey remarked, “We are an eco friendly yoga studio working diligently to leave less of an impact on this beautiful planet.”
McConnell and Corey aim to make yoga and meditation accessible to all. “We love our community and we truly feel that our prices reflect that. We never want someone to feel they cannot afford Yoga,” Corey said. This fall the studio will be celebrating their one year anniversary and will also be kicking off new workshops, trainings and retreats. For more info visit their website at: www.theyogahivenj.com.
