Small Businesses Are the Best Networking Hosts

Southern Ocean Chamber partners to bring the business community together

The Southern Ocean Chamber brings the many industries in our region together in a variety of ways, the most effective are casual in-house networking events. From Women in Business, After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings, Expansions, Grand Openings, Client Appreciation, product or service launches; hosting a business event can help connect with current and prospective colleagues. The US Chamber recently reported that small businesses benefit from hosting these local professional events, for every $1 spent saw an ROI of $20 or more.

The article further states that one of the most compelling reasons to host a professional event is the potential to build connections. In addition to strengthening relationships with existing customers, you can also meet prospective clients and partners which can lead to future business opportunities. Hosting a professional event can also increase brand awareness and recognition, particularly within your local community or industry.  Businesses can partner to bring an event budget into a reality as well as define the hours the event will take place.

Working with the regional chamber, coordinating an event with the staff, will help attract attendees, cross promote online and on air. The chamber will also assist with RSVP and develop a contingency plan if bad weather or other unexpected challenges arise that make cause a reschedule.  Showcasing businesses are reason to celebrate.
