For the sixth year the Pour into Summer Wine Festival will give beach lovers and wine lovers the perfect paring on LBI. Happening at Taylor Avenue Waterfront at Taylor and Bay Avenues in Beach Haven June 16-17. The LBI Summer season will uncork in grand style when 10 NJ Wineries join together. Celebrating the official opening weekend of LBI, the festival will now happen on FRIDAY, June 16 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and SATURDAY, June 17 from 12:00pm – 6:00pm. What better way to start off the summer season then taking in the beautiful beaches of LBI combined with a fabulous wine festival featuring award winning NJ wines!
“We are proud to once again hold our wine festival in Beach Haven on LBI. Moving our event to mid-June is an exciting change for us. We anticipate great weather and are really thrilled to be part of all that is happening on LBI. We want people to come to this great weekend of events, enjoy all the things we have to offer and, most importantly, support LBI as we reopen this part of the Jersey Shore for the 2017 Summer Season. We are telling people to come sample great New Jersey wines, enjoy culinary cuisine from some of LBI’s best eateries, shop the artisan crafters and enjoy great live music. We are really proud to be part of supporting LBI and we want everyone to be part of this annual summer kick-off festival”, commented GPS, Inc owner and festival organizer, Kathy Bullock.
Featuring some of the best of the Garden State’s wineries providing samples, as well as selling by bottle and of over 200 varietals are Amalthea Cellars, Coda Rossa Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, Monroeville Winery, Tomasello Winery, Plagido’s Winery, Sharrott Winery, Villari Vineyards, Valenzano Winery and Wagonhouse Winery. The festival dates and hours have changed this year allowing connoisseurs ample time to relax on LBI’s gorgeous beaches, just three blocks away, and still have plenty of opportunity to sip and sample their way through the Pour Into Summer Wine Festival of 2017.
The featured wineries will be pouring for sample and sale more than 200 varietals ranging from clean, crisp whites to robust red wines and refreshing fruit wines. Many wineries will be unveiling their newest summer wine offerings, which will certainly include the first of the season’s summer sangria. There will certainly be something available for everyone…wine aficionado to wine “newbie”!
The festival has gained loyal support from many in the region. As Lori Pepenella, CEO of the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, stated, “The Pour into Summer Wine Festival has become an LBI summer kick off institution. The perfect blend of music, wine and local flavor. We are looking forward to welcoming ten NJ wineries back to Beach Haven and everyone out for a fantastic shore weekend.”
This year the festival will enjoy more artisans selling items such as hand-painted wine glasses, Swarovski crystal jewelry, gourmet spices & marinades, specialty dips, photography, hand carved cutting boards, and more. If it’s great live music you want, then look no further because this year Pour Into Summer Wine Festival will feature Ned Ryerson & The Groundhogs on Friday, June 16 and Mario & The Slyders on Saturday, June 17. Both bands know how to “rock the house” and keep the fun going non-stop! And as festivalgoers have come to expect, delicious food will be available from some of LBI’s best eateries including Crust & Crumb Bakery, Carmen’s, Bistro 14, Foster’s Market, Country Kettle Chowda, Foster’s Market and Panzone’s Pizza & Pasta.
“We are so proud to be celebrating six years of the Pour Into Summer Wine Festival in Beach Haven on LBI! The festival has always been a great event for everyone and now with the change to June 16-17 we know that our event is certain to have some of the best weather ever! We want people to come to the wine festival and enjoy everything we have to offer – wonderful NJ wines, fabulous live bands, unique artisan crafters and delectable local cuisine. Plan to spend time with us sipping and purchasing NJ wines while basking in the beautiful weather that graces LBI in June,” commented GPS, Inc owner and festival organizer, Kathy Bullock.
“Most important though, we want people to be at the festival to help us support LBI as they open their summer season for 2017. After last year’s success we know that the crowds will be with us to sip, sample and purchase great NJ wines! We are very proud to be part of supporting LBI and we want everyone to come celebrate at our annual summer kick-off festival!”
