Fall Fun begins at Argos Farm located at 1250 Lacey Road in Forked River now through October 27. You can bring the whole family for a day of fun whether winding through the 4 acre corn maze, wagon and hay rides, farm animal visits, pumpkin picking, tasting fresh seasonal foods, and playing games. No Admission Necessary to enter the Farm Market, Pony Area, or Pumpkin Patch; admission to take on other activities is $9.95 plus tax per person over 2 years of age Wednesdays to Fridays and $11.95 plus tax on weekends and holidays.
Bring the whole family to the Tuckerton Seaport on October 17 – 20 where Pirates and sea captains long lost at sea, stroll the boardwalk for a night of screams. “Haunted Woods”, hayrides, phragmites maze, food, refreshments and a non-scary activity patch for the little ones. Event runs from 6 to 9pm, admission is $10. Seaport in located on 120 W Main Street (Rt 9) Tuckerton. Friday & Saturday nights.

The Little Egg Harbor Community Center will be hosting their Annual Haunted Maze & Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 18 from 5 – 8pm. Wear your costumes and take photos in the pumpkin patch, visit the petting zoo, and more!  October 18-19, head down to the Waretown Lake for the 21st Annual Haunted Hayride from 7 to 10pm. This 2 night fundraiser for both Waretown Volunteer Fire Co # 1 and the Twp of Ocean Special Events Committee. It includes a 20 minutes hayride around the lake with groups on route to SCARE you in the hopes of earning your vote. After the ride, vote for your favorite skit, stay for the bonfire and visit food vendors. Families can also head to Fantasy Island Amusement Park in Beach Haven for their Halloween Fun Fest happening Saturday October 19 1 to 4pm. Festivities include a costume contest, Trick or Treat Trail, monster mash dance party, face painting, pumpkin patch and more. The arcade, select rides and outdoor games will also be open. It is a Free Event, but please RSVP HERE! Sign up for a Spooky Ice Cream Making Class at The WooHoo froom 12pm – 3pm. For some early trick or treating, HOTEL LBI is offering costumed kids to stop in from 4 to 6pm for the hotel’s first Halloween event. Barnegat Fall Festival is happening on October 20 from 1-4pm, this free family event is held across from Station 11 Firehouse on Birdsall St, free children’s inflatables and games, pumpkins, cookie decorating, craft and food vendors. Annual Costume contest registration begins at 230pm Contest at 330pm.

Southern Ocean Rotary and the Jersey Shore Council of the Boy Scouts have plans for Operation Halloween and Zombie Outbreak taking place at the Citta Reservation 229 Brookville Road Barnegat on October 25 & 26 with Family Friendly Pumpkin Street activities from 4 to 7 and scare free activities. Haunted Zombie Outbreak happens from 7-10pm. Kids age 3 and under are free, $15 admission for nighttime haunts that can be purchased on site. Coupons for event are available at Southern Ocean Chamber Visitor Center, participating businesses and the Rotary.

Looking to meet the Jersey Devil? The LBI Museum at 129 Engleside Ave in Beach Haven promises an appearance that their Ghost Fest taking place Saturday, 10/26 from 12-4pm. The Museum will be decorated in a vintage Halloween style with Kids Maker Treat Workshop, The Jersey Devil will be conjured up for 3pm and will help Museum volunteers pull the Annual Raffle Drawing. You can catch him along with folk music presented by the Pinelands Cultural Society with a visit to Albert Music Hall 131 Wells Mills Road Waretown during the Jersey Devil Show happening November 2. Bring the kids to Kid Zone Shore Tumbling for their Halloween Bash on Friday, October 25 from 6-9pm at 712 East Bay Avenue in Manahawkin. There will be tumbling, costume contests, crafts, games, pizza and ice cream. Open to ages 3 and up. Call 609.756.4100 to register. Also scheduled for Friday night, from 9pm – midnight, Bird & Betty’s will be hosting an ultimate Halloween Teen Costume Party at 529 Dock Road, Beach Haven. Don’t miss out on Southern Ocean Made Brew Trail member Manafirkin Brewing Company‘s Firkin Halloween Bash on Friday night 10/25 from 5pm – 10pm. There will be a costume contest so dress your best!

St. Mary Academy will be hosting a kid-friendly spooktacular Trunk or Treak on Saturday, October 26 from 1-3pm at the school. 400 Doc Cramer Blvd., Manahawkin. Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume. Cost is $2 per child with the proceeds to support cancer research.

Head to the Urban Schack for their Fall Fest happening 10-4pm on Saturday, October 26 at 111 North Main Street Forked River. Enjoy Music, Artisan Demos and Shoppes, Food Trucks, Fire Pits along with S’mores and coffee. Kids can take part in a costume contest, face painting, and other surprises. Head to Beach Haven for The WooHoo’s 2nd Annual Boo Bash 10/26 12-4pm. Come join us for some silly, spooky fun and one last hurrah! Kids games, crafts and treats! Still want more? You got it! Visit the historic Surf City Hotel’s Family Halloween Party Saturday October 26. Celebrate at the Haunted Beach Club with free admission , DJ, dancing and kids costume contest from 6-10pm, adults only from 10pm to midnight for more information contact the Surf City Hotel or call 609-494-7281. Visit the chamber sponsored Surf City’s 5th Annual Trunk or Treat from 6pm-8pm Rain date of Sunday, October 27th, 2019 from 4pm-6pm. Bring the kids for some fun, safe trick or treating at the stores in Schooner’s Wharf and Bay Village in Beach Haven for Trick or Treat Day, starting at 12pm and ending at 4pm. Drop into the Mainland Kitchen and Pub from noon to 4pm for their Kids Halloween Party with trick or treating and pumpkin decorating. Then, the adults celebrate from 8 to 11 pm with your best costume, spooky drink specials, photo booth and The Pickles.

Enjoy the final night climb of the season at Barnegat Lighthouse between 7-9pm on Saturday, October 26. There will be a campfire on the beach and a storyteller. Daddy O Hotel & Restaurant will be open year ’round. Be sure to stop on for their Halloween party on Saturday, 10/26 starting at 6pm. There will be specialty drinks and costume contest. Winners receive a $40 Daddy O’ gift card!  Kubel’s Too will be hosting a Halloween Masquerade Murder Mystery on Saturday 10/26 at 6pm. Southern Ocean Made Brew Trail member Pinelands Brewing Company will be hosting a pumpkin carving event on Saturday, 10/26. Bring the family, come in costume and create your masterpiece. Prizes for best decorated/carved pumpkin and best costume. Come back on Sunday 10/27 for their pumpkin launching party beginning at 2pm. Test your skills – win a prize!
