The local experts of the Southern Ocean County Chamber have always said that the LBI Region is better in September, and 2020 is the perfect year to find out why! With remote schedules still in play, heading to beach may be just what is needed for some extra summertime. Enjoy guarded beaches, and even take your dog for a walk! - Barnegat Light:
Tuesday, September 8 through Sunday, September 13 Guarded Beaches:
Ninth Street, 18th Street, 22nd Street, 25th Street.
Beach Tram: The tram will be running every day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. except from 1 to 2 p.m.
Monday, September 14 through Wednesday, September 30 Guarded Beaches
Ninth Street (Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays only), 18th Street, 22nd Street, 25th Street
Beach Tram: The tram will be running Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. except from 12 to 1 p.m.
- Beach Haven: Centre Street and roving patrols throughout the Borough until September 20. If more staff is available the patrol hopes to have additional beach guarded with stands. The beaches are guarded until 4 p.m. during the week and 5 p.m. on weekends.
- Harvey Cedars:
80th Street: Daily coverage Tuesday, September 8 through Sunday, September 13. Lifeguards will be on duty weekends
Middlesex Avenue: Daily coverage until September 30.
- Long Beach Township:Tract 1067 in North Beach, 68th Street in Brant Beach, 81st Street in Beach Haven Crest, 131st Street in Spray Beach, 25th Street in Spray Beach, and Nelson Ave in Holgate. On the weekends only, 47th street in Brant Beach and 96th Street in Beach Haven Crest . Daily Until September 30th,.10 to 5pm
- Ship Bottom: Ship Bottom Beach Patrol will guard the beaches until September 30 at the following beaches: 7th Street, 15th Street and 20th Street.
- Surf City: 12th St daily until to be decided 10am to 5pm
LEASHED DOGS ARE ALLOWED:
Barnegat Light, Harvey Cedars, and Beach Haven after September 15
Ship Bottom, Surf City and LBT after October 1
