As an ongoing partnership with New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism, we can extend this new opportunity from Airbnb to promote virtual tourism to New Jersey through their new Online Experiences, which:
- Enable experts in history, science, nature, art, culture, food and beverage, and more to host virtual activities for guests from around the world
- Allow consumers to experience activities that they cannot currently enjoy in person, due to the pandemic, and/or access people, sites and opportunities that they might have never otherwise enjoyed
- Are available to 10 guests at a time, are all live and are a minimum of one hour
Hosts decide the price of the Experience. Airbnb charges only a 20-percent service fee. This fee is waived for nonprofits, so they receive 100 percent of proceeds. Experiences can take place as frequently as a host accommodates—some hold one once a month, while others five times a day.
We believe you and your team will find creative, beneficial ways to use this service.
As part of our partnership, Airbnb will provide onboarding and technical guidance, advise on potential ideas and promote our campaign to the press once it launches. Plus, Airbnb provides a means for guests to book your Experience directly and for you to communicate with guests via the platform, as well as a Zoom account for your Experience.
