What is happening on October 2 & 3

Welcome fall in traditional LBI style as the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce heads to Beach Haven to close out Chowdermonth. This is not a tasting event, but a free 2-Day Bayfront Festival filled with a juried vendor village, food for purchase, live music, and brews on tap.

Please note:

  • There are no tickets needed to attend the gated area where the festivities are officially being held.
  • Chowdertasting and voting happen by visiting restaurants directly and voting online through chowderfest.com registration before October 2nd.
  • The announcement of 2021 Champions in Red, White & Creative will be announced on Sunday, October 3rd.

Information for Vendor Village 

This year, the Vendor Village will be a juried event. Vendors looking to sell at this event MUST submit their interest form below to be considered. Participation in the Vendor Village is a 2-day commitment, vendors MUST be present on BOTH Oct 2 & 3.  The deadline to submit your form for consideration is Friday, August 6, 2021. You will receive determination by Wednesday, August 18.

Saturday, October 2nd – 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 3rd – 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Taylor Avenue, Beach Haven. Vendor parking and access are labeled on the Vendor Village Map

INSURANCE
All participants are required to provide a certificate of liability insurance listing the Chamber as additionally insured with limits of $1,000,000 or greater. Please submit Certificate of Insurance to:

SET UP & BREAKDOWN
10 x 10 ft. space – Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tents (must be anchored appropriately- festival grounds will be on a concrete parking lot), tables, and pre-charged POS systems. Electricity, tents, tables, and chairs will not be supplied. Remember to bring a fire extinguisher. This is required by the Fire Marshal. Plastic bags & balloons are not permitted. Vendor parking and access are labeled on the festival map below.

Set-Up Time: Begins daily at 7:00 a.m. & must be completed by 10:00 a.m.
Breakdown Time: Saturday is 5:00 p.m. and Sunday is 4 p.m. Vendors are required to operate during village hours and MAY NOT leave prior to end times. There is no overnight security to allow vendors to leave set up overnight, set up will have to be broken down daily.

Vendors are responsible for the cleanup of their site(s). In order to accommodate the removal of cardboard boxes, please flatten and place them in the dumpster designated for cardboard. Vendors are required to leave the space clean or a $200 cleaning fee may be assessed. Vehicles will NOT have access to the gated festival area.

Vendors agreed upon registration to sell items only from their assigned space. Vendors agreed that their set-up will be within the specified space boundaries and that their display, merchandise, etc., will not obstruct, block, or interfere with neighboring vendors. No merchandise may be set up beyond the front, back, or side boundary of your space.

DEADLINES & FEES
The deadline to submit your interest form is Friday, August 6th. 

Member Pricing $600
This pricing is exclusively for Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce Members in good standing with DUES PAID IN FULL.

Non-Member Pricing $950
There is a non-refundable application fee of $50 due at the time of submission/invoiced once a submission is received.

Participation in this event is a 2-day commitment, vendors MUST be present on BOTH Oct 2 & 3. Pricing reflects the cost for both days. Vendors who want to sell for one day will not be considered.

THE FINE PRINT
Space will not be allocated until the completed application, payment, and a conforming Certificate of Insurance have been submitted and approved. The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, in its sole discretion, has the right to reject any merchandise we feel is inappropriate at a family event. “Knock-Off” merchandise is not permitted.

In the event the Vendor Village is canceled due to extreme inclement weather, acts of terrorism, or any other event/issue beyond Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce’s control, a refund will be issued for your space. The Chamber will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred by the vendor.

For the purpose of participating in the Vendor Village, the undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce and its officers, agents, and employees harmless from any and all liability, claims, costs, and Attorney Fees arising out of the participation of the event. This also includes any setup or breakdown of your space.

Failure to satisfy these requirements could terminate a vendor’s participation in this and future events. Southern Ocean County Chamber members in good standing do not have to submit a deposit at the time of application. Non Members will need to submit a $50 non-refundable application fee if approved the funds will be put towards your vendor space cost.
