Up for a NJ Road Trip? Take it beyond the exit and to the LBI Region
Hit the road and travel across the state with the assistance of the “New Jersey Road Trip Beyond the Exit” online map! This statewide guide highlights the LBI Region and points out other important travel stops in six major road trip routes. Each route pinpoints where travelers can stop along the way to experience the best of state.
The Southern Ocean Chamber Visitor Center has been a staple since it opened over a half-century ago and is included in the Down The Shore route which follows the Garden State Parkway. They share the trip with Historic parks, iconic lighthouses, famous boardwalks, and amusements. Beyond the Exit also features routes including Mountain Magic that follows Rt 80, Bridge to Bridge along the NJ Turnpike, Farm to City along RT 78, Wine Trail on Rt 42, and Southern River to Shore along Rt 40.
The visitor center is located at 265 W Ninth Street in Ship Bottom and is open M-F 10 to 4 pm, with a fully stocked porch pick up area accessible anytime. The 106-year organization also has an online virtual visitor center located on www.visitLBIregion.com
