Southern Ocean Chamber Sets August Member Activities

Chamber members are invited to attend virtual events and take part in upcoming fall opportunities.

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce announces several opportunities for members to participate with upcoming live streams as well as register for Chowder Month promotional campaigns. With COVID-19 restrictions and coastal storm challenges adding to high demand of the business community this summer, the Chamber has created several options for members to get the information crucial to planning for fall.

The SBA Paycheck Protection Loan Forgiveness Webinar Part II, was rescheduled due to Tropical Storm Isaias and is now set for Thursday, August 13 from 11 to 1230pm. The U.S. Small Business Administration plans to open the Paycheck Forgiveness platform for lenders this week, which means businesses who have borrowed and spent the PPP funds can start the process in getting their loans forgiven. Since guidance on forgiveness has been ever-changing, this webinar may provide new insight to the program.
The webinar will feature Sheryl Paynter, Lead Lender Relations & Lead Economic Development Specialist of the SBA NJ District Office for an overview on the most up to date guidance with tips for businesses to properly submit to their lenders.

Set your schedules for a Member exclusive Summer Speakeasy on Wednesday, August 26 from 3 to 430 pm, members are invited to take time to unwind with Executive Board members of the region’s Chamber of Commerce on a Zoom livestream session held Wednesday, August 26 at 3pm.
