Free Festival Rocks the Bay Oct 2 & 3

Sending off summer and welcoming fall as Southern Ocean County Chamber members close out
Chowdermonth with music, vendors, activities and beer on tap at Taylor Ave Waterfront in Beach Haven!

Plan sometime in the undisputed Chowder Capital of New Jersey. As the Southern Ocean County Chamber winds down their month long food competition and gears up for their free 2 day Bayfront festival with Signature Sponsor Fantasy Island taking place at Taylor Avenue Waterfront behind Bay Village in Beach Haven. Closing out the month, the Oct 2 and 3 event will host the award announcements along with fall pumpkin patch to benefit the Hunger Foundation of Southern Ocean, Face Painting, vendor village and, for those over 21, seasonal beer tap selection, seltzer and wine on ice. Festival hours are Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 11-4pm.

This is a non ticketed, non chowder tasting event. Festival goers can expect to enjoy two days of free music
beginning Saturday Oct 2 at 11am with Joe Faronea Duo, Marty & The Martians at 1215, Billy Walton
Band at 130, 40 North at 245pm and the Impulsives closing out the show at 4pm. Performing on Sunday
Oct 3 will be Ted Hammock & Jay Booth at 11am, The Pickles at 1215, Drunken Clams Band at 130 and
leading up to the Chowder Grand Champion announcements are The Way Outs at 3pm. The entertainment
line up is presented by Health Village Imaging.

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce and the Borough of Beach Haven has worked to bring
a fun and safe event. Chowder lovers can support the competing restaurants directly by registering online
to become a traveling taster online here! There is no fee to register or vote, purchase chowders from 13 participating restaurants with soups in the red, white and creating categories available to purchase as take out or dine in through October 2.
