ChowderMonth Kicks Off with New Traveling Taster Technology

The Chowder Capital of NJ brings in new way to make supporting local restaurants on the Chowder Trail interactive and easy.

Beginning September 4 through October 2 the Long Beach Island Region ChowderMonth competition brings 15 soups, 13 restaurants and one month to vote! Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce brings back the spirit of the iconic LBI Chowderfest. launching a new Traveling Taster Technology, assisting fans to go directly to restaurants to purchase cups, pints or quarts of chowder for take out or to dine in.

It is easy to register, the Taster Trail is mobile exclusive, instantly delivered by text or email, no apps to download and an easy way to support and vote for your favorites. To get your pass just sign up on Chowderfest.com, your passport will be instantly delivered to your phone and is ready to use. Your pass can be saved to your phone’s home screen for easy one tap access.  This service will be available at no cost for voters to check in with restaurants, vote and even qualify for vintage Chowdergear prizes that can be claimed at planned the 2 day free festival happening at Beach Haven’s Taylor Avenue Bayfront October 2 & 3.

This year the cook off features restaurants looking for your vote in the White or New England Style: Country Kettle Chowa, Panzone’s Pizza, Polly’s Dock, Quincy’s Original Lobster Rolls, Scojo’s, Surf City Hotel, and The Chicken or the Egg. Red or Manhattan-style includes Country Kettle, Lefty’s Tavern, and Roberto’s Dolce Vita. The Creative which presents seafood soups such as bisques include Delaware Ave Oyster House, Dune 18, Country Kettle, LaBamba, Old Causeway Steak & Oyster House, & Quincy’s. Once you register to vote with an email, you will have access to online mapping, digital check-in, online voting, as well menu, website and contact info.
