With a successful launch this February to the Hiring on a Handshake Series, we continue our partnership with Ocean County College’s Career Services Department to introduce local businesses to the students and alumni that are looking for employment in a part time, full time or seasonal capacity. The digital Handshake account registers students automatically and allows employers to post positions, manage interview schedules, and request virtual appointments. Handshake can be personalized and is available through desktop or mobile app.
Owners and Managers can learn all aspects of bringing their business on board for recruitment at absolutely no charge. The series will feature two Tech Assist webinars to choose from: Wednesday March 3 at 10am or March 10 at 3pm online via zoom. After attending a session, the businesses can begin hiring and also be included in the April 7 Career Connect Virtual Job Fair. The event will bring jobseekers to employers for live, online video interviews and on the spot hiring from a computer or phone. Businesses looking to fill positions are encouraged to learn more about this new digital platform connecting local high school students, college students and alumni seeking new opportunities.
