We talk a lot about redefining beach culture, but each year, we are so excited to host the Lighthouse International Film Festival on Long Beach Island, June 9-12. This is truly a coveted weekend, and not just for lovers of film.

The Eighth Annual Lighthouse International Film Festival will present feature films, shorts, documentaries and panel discussions with leading film industry professionals, on Long Beach Island – one of the East Coast’s most popular surfing and shore destinations. It promises attendees a memorable weekend with nightly parties, networking opportunities with industry players, interesting discussions and a fantastic slate of cinema from all over the world. LIFF gives independent filmmakers an opportunity for their voices to be heard and stories to be told, and gives the audiences the opportunity to explore current issues and to be educated, enlightened, engaged, and entertained.

The Lighthouse International Film Festival is foremost at redefining beach culture on LBI. Check out the shorts, docs, parties and panel discussions, June 9-12.

Praised by The Wall Street Journal, IndieWire called it “one of June’s don’t miss festivals.” The four-day festival celebrates new, exciting and challenging films in honor of Long Beach Island’s historic Barnegat Lighthouse, at our summer shores.

The Lighthouse International Film Festival was founded by a collection of filmmakers, film critics and film industry professionals who share a passion for film and wanted to create an event aimed first and foremost at film enthusiasts. The program is made possible in part by a grant administered by the Ocean County Cultural and Heritage Commission, in conjunction with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
