Summer is time for planning outdoor gatherings, and Ocean County boasts several beautiful parks that are perfect for planning those events. Whether you’re a business, a non-profit organization, or a family, consider hosting at a county park for your next gathering. Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce highlights the beautiful parks within our region,  and suggests using local catering, markets and services to enhance your event.

Picnic Locations & Maximum Capacities
A. Paul King County Park, Manahawkin Pavilion 110 persons
Stanley Tip Seaman County Park, Tuckerton 95 persons
Wells Mills County Park, Waretown 99 persons
Jakes Branch County Park, Beachwood 74 persons

Reservations for large groups are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. All reservations must be made AT LEAST three weeks before the requested date for picnics held between April 1 and November 1. A fee is charged based upon the size of the group, and proof of insurance is required for groups of 300 or more persons. Reservation Forms and payment may be submitted by mail or in person to the Parks Administration Office in Toms River; or in person at Jakes Branch County Park in Beachwood and Wells Mills County Park in Waretown.

Fill out Ocean County Pavilion Reservation & Rules Form found on their website or call 732-506-9090 . Please note that there are no reservations on holidays. Beer in cans or kegs, and wine in wine boxes are allowed by permit only and there is no alcoholic beverages are permitted outside the picnic area, including sports fields, trails, and Nature Centers.
