The members of Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce begin their 105th anniversary year with tribute to all the non profit organizations who helped the business and community thrive. As part of the #thrivein105, we will be highlighting the importance of the volunteer Fire Companies, First Aid and EMS organizations. “The 105th Anniversary Committee, the Board of Directors and the membership wanted to extend gratitude for the time, talent and sacrifice that these 24 organizations give to our community each day.” states Lori Pepenella, CEO of the Southern Ocean County Chamber “We recognize that we cannot have a thriving business community without their volunteer efforts, and that safety is always the most important factor when choosing a place to live or vacation.”
As we celebrate our milestone of 105 years of continuous service, we recognize the valued relationship that the business community has with the first responders. All volunteer first responder squads and companies have been given Honorary Membership to Southern Ocean County Chamber and are entitled to receive the benefits offered which include listing and link on the Chamber website, social media promotion of events and volunteer recruitment; option for representatives to be scheduled with a LBI Region Report radio show interview or submit volunteers that would like to be recognized on air. It also entitles representatives to attend business education workshops, Non Profit Forums and business meetings; as well as networking and social gatherings. One particular highlight is the First Responder Friday Social Media campaign, which will feature each organization on all the chamber’s social media platforms including @LBIregion, @OfficialLBIChowderfest and @Southernoceanchamber. First Responder Friday campaign is in partnership with member The Wireless Experience/AT&T.
