Currently covering 10 of Long Beach Island’s 18 miles, serving Ship Bottom, Beach Haven, and Long Beach Township, the Beach Haven First Aid Squad was originally organized in 1939 with a handful of dedicated volunteers. Now, there are currently 20 year round members that work out of two stations. The north station is located in Ship Bottom and the south station is located in Beach Haven. They are equipped with two rescue trucks, five rigs, and a first responder vehicle.

With the summer season fast approaching, Beach Haven First Aid Squad is looking for volunteers interested in helping in June, July, and August. Last year, the squad answered 1223 calls, more than half of which was from the summer. People interested in joining the squad, please call the Beach Haven (609-492-4222) or Ship Bottom (609-494-7204) station. If you’d like to make an online tax-deductible donation, click here.

The Southern Ocean County would also like to thank the
Beach Haven First Aid Squad for all their help and support during Chowderfest weekend!
