Celebrate the Fourth of July with events that light up the summer

The Southern Ocean Chamber invites old friends and new explorers to spend time in the LBI Region and start summer with a bang! The coastal community is offering up a variety of Red, White, and Blue activities to spark July Fourth excitement the whole week through. To make the most of a holiday weekend, there are many events and activities to bring together family and friends at the Long Beach Island Region of the Jersey Coast. Whether visitors enjoy the cool creeks of the Pines or salty ocean breezes, there are plenty of options to help round out the day. Community Calendar

Puppy Pals Monday July 1 at  Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven – tickets availablefor matinee and evening show featuring adopted and rescued preforming pups with tricks, surprises and comedy.

St Francis, Brant Beach is hosting the Festival of the Sea from July 2 – 6th from 6pm – 10pm – New Dates and new attractions for 2024. Don’t miss this summer highlight held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish and Community Center 

Surflight presents Little Mermaid July 3-6 for 6-7pm Children’s Theatre and South Pacific on the Main Stage – Tickets available by calling Box office or visiting online

Enjoy the Tuckerton 4th of July Parade beginning at 10am with music, antique cars, fire trucks and more

Barnegat Township Farmer’s Market  Every Thursday 14 Birdsall Street across from Station 11 Firehouse 10am -3pm Rain or shine

Queen City Market LBI is hosting a 4th of July Clambake – tickets available on their website. Book your timeslot and enjoy bayfront dining with that holiday spirit in this historic and beautiful Beach Haven location

Enjoy free concerts to get the weekend started, bring blankets and chairs to make yourself at home, starting:

  • Wednesday July 3 – Ship Bottom Waterfront Concert at 6:30 pm featuring  Simmerr and  the Tequila Rose Band at Veterans Memorial Park in Beach Haven 7:30pm with Sunset Craft Market 5-9pm
  • Friday July 5 –The Tuckerton Seaport is host to Valerie Vaughn  at 630pm and The Royals at 7pm 68th Street Beach Long Beach Island
  • Saturday July 6- RB Express at the Barnegat Township Dock at 630pm

Wednesday, July 3rd

Lacey – The Fireworks Display at Lacey Township High School – Display begins at Dusk – 9:15 pm
Bring your own chairs! In the event of severe weather/rain the alternate date is July 5th

Surf City – Surf City Firehouse presents the town’s fireworks at 9 pm on the bay beach.

Thursday, July 4th

Beach Haven – Fireworks at 9:30 PM Come to Taylor Avenue to view fireworks light up the sky

Tuckerton – Annual parade with evening fireworks presented by Pinelands 4th of July Committee.

Join the Tuckerton Seaport for a special Fireworks Boat Cruise on Thursday, July 4th! This tour will depart from the Lighthouse Dock at Tuckerton Seaport at 7:30pm. Guests will enjoy the fireworks and then return to the Seaport Dock at approximately 10:30pm. Feel free to bring snacks and refreshments. Tickets include the boat tour and a special Party Favor Box for each guest. Due to increased boater traffic on the Fourth of July, the Fireworks Boat Cruise will be exceptionally punctual. There is no accommodation for late arriving guests, the Fireworks Cruise will be leaving the dock by 7:30pm. Given the duration of this tour (3 hours) and the nature of fireworks, this event is recommended for guests 8 years of age and older.Tickets: $50/person

Friday July 5

Barnegat – Party starts at 5pm with DJ, food trucks and face painting. Fireworks at dusk

Saturday July 6

The Harvey Cedars Activity Committee Presents….. Craft Day by the Bay! This annual event includes all hand-crafted items for adults and children. We strive to offer a variety of different crafters and artists. This event is rain or shine!
