Universal Good: Social & Environmental Justice

What you can expect:
-Rev. Eric Dobson will lead an old-fashioned revival under the tent.
Eric Dobson – is the Outreach Coordinator for the Fair Share Housing Center, defending the rights of all New Jersey residents to decent and affordable housing. He will speak on the needs and the successes of fair housing efforts in New Jersey and how citizens can be advocates for this very basic human right.
-Sam Daley-Harris, our theme speaker, will give a talk on “Are Shouting and Silence Our Only Two Options?”
Sam Daley-Harris – founded the anti-poverty lobby RESULTS in 1980, co-founded the Microcredit Summit Campaign in 1995 with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus and FINCA Founder John Hatch, and founded Civic Courage in 2012. He will inspire attendees with the revelation of the power they wield as citizens to make the world more just.
-Rev. Kim Wildszewski will preach in Potter’s Chapel on Sunday morning at 9:30am
Rev. Kim has been serving the Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing since August 2014. Rev. Kim’s work focuses on education and child welfare policy.
Aly Tharp – Aly Tharp is the Program Director for Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth (UUMFE). Aly joined the climate justice movement straight out of college in 2012, and she has been leading national UU climate & environmental justice efforts since 2014. She will share a moral call to “Create Climate Justice” and will provide attendees with pathways to get involved. Check out her TEDx talk from last year at https://youtu.be/oOcOkSbT8ok
