The 50th Annual LBI Commemorative 18 Mile Run has added a 12k run. Taking place on Sunday, October 9 with race starting at 1030am in Holgate. Registration is handled through St Francis Community Center.

8th annual LBI FLY Kite festival has kite displays in various locations in Ship Bottom with individual events throughout the island from October 7 to 9th!
LBT Shellabration happening at Bayview Park October 8 from noon to 6pm featuring local oyster farmers, beer, games and environmental education to support the local Oyster Industry.
The longest running Surf Fishing Tournament in the state kicks off October 8, as the 68th LBI fishing Classic brings together local bait and tackle shops, fishing enthusiasts and first time competitors looking to catch Striped Bass, Blues and Kingfish. Tournament runs through Dec 11. This fishing tradition comes loaded with prizes and bragging rights.
Stafford Township’s annual Fall Harvest Festival Saturday Oct 8 and Sunday Oct 9 will be filled with activities at Manahawkin Lake Park running noon to 5pm with live music on both days. Saturday brings hayrides, craft and food vendors, Halloween Parade, scarecrow making, pumpkin picking and, for a tasting fee, Wine Festival at Heritage Park.
Fantasy Island kicks off their Halloween Fun Fest with limited advance reservations starting Sunday October 9 from noon to 4pm with Trick or Treat trail, pumpkin patch, DJ Monster Mash and more. Registration $15 per person for all guests comes with $10 game card and costume contests. Other dates include Oct 14, 16 and 21.

SAVE THE DATE FOR CHOWDERFEST happening at the Taylor Avenue Waterfront- Saturday Oct 15 ! As with all local organizers, this scenario has become a common occurrence, as storm events and flooding is now very much a part of our coastal community. We appreciate your support as we move forward. Plans are underway to coordinate this event to mark the 10th anniversary of Super Storm Sandy as well as to raise attention to coastal resiliency and award Chowder trail Champions.
