A visit to dog-friendly LBI Region is a great way to spend an afternoon with your pup. From dog beaches, open grassy spaces, trails, and fences play areas we have everything you need to prepare your stay with your canine kin!
Pet Beach Access
Harvey Cedars Beaches let your dog on a leash to explore the beaches from September 16th through to May 29th. harveycedars.org
Beach Haven let your dog on a leash to explore the beaches from September 15th through to May 15th. This includes the Beach Haven Doggy Bay. Beach Haven Doggy Bay is pet-friendly in the off-season. Make sure you clean up any mess that your pup leaves behind. Dogs must be leashed and under control at all times. beachhaven-nj.gov
Long Beach Island Township beaches let your dog on a leash to explore the beaches from October 1st through April 30th.
The township is divided into four noncontiguous land areas. This includes Bay Vista, Beach Haven Crest, Beach Haven Gardens, Beach Haven Inlet, Beach Haven Park, Beach Haven Terrace, Brant Beach, Brighton Beach, Haven Beach, High Bar Harbor, Holgate, Loveladies, North Beach, North Beach Haven, Peahala Park, South Beach Haven, Spray Beach, and the Dunes. lbtbp.com

Robert J. Miller Air Dog Park*

Bring your pet to play off-leash at this fenced dog park in Bayville, NJ! It features wide open and wooded areas as well as a separate section for small dogs. Registration at the Parks Office is required. Annual $5 fee.
Waretown Dog Park

The Waretown Dog Park is a fenced, two-acre pup recreation area filled with sand in Waretown, NJ. There’s a separate space for large and small dogs. Don’t forget to clean up after your pup.

Barnegat Light Dog Park

All dog park users MUST obtain a dog park gate entry card (“Paw Pass”) and a dog park tag. Passes are free for Barnegat Light residents and for non-residents, the annual fee is $30 and the weekly fee is $10. Applications for the passes can be obtained at Borough Hall, the Beach Badge Booth (in-season), or on the Borough website. Proof of rabies must be shown, either with a rabies certificate or a current dog license.

Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners for a stroll at this park, which is located on the shores of Lake Pohatcong. The park is open daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. On-site facilities/amenities include a fishing area, open play area, picnic area, accessible restrooms, small car top boat launch, and walking paths.
