Look no further, St. Francis Community Center is raffling off a $5,000 Travel Gift Certificate, which makes a great gift for Christmas or any occasion.   • One World, One Sky at Novins Planetarium. Join Sesame Street’s Big Bird, Elmo, and Hu Zhu, a Muppet from China. Our live presenter will also give a brief tour of the night sky over New Jersey so kids can learn where to look for some of the constellations and visible planets of the season. 11:30a

Captain Alex Majewski of Lighthouse Sportfishing, LLC and a Science Saturday co-chair will present the program. Captain Alex will introduce you to the fish species that call Barnegat Bay home, from striped bass, bluefish and fluke to many others. Admission is free for Foundation members.   • Lecture at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. This event is sponsored by Friends of Barnegat Lighthouse State Park and is free to the public. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center will have us discover what makes a marine mammal different from a fish, which types of marine mammals and sea turtles come to New Jersey and the dangers they face while they are here. Learn how and why the Marine Mammal Stranding Center helps our marine friends. Please plan on arriving early since space is limited.   • Kaluoka’hina: The Enchanted Reef at Novins Planetarium. Children will be transported to a tropical reef where they join Jake and Shorty, two adventurous and humorous fish, on an animated quest to restore the magic of their reef that will protect it from man’s destruction. Visitors will witness a one of a kind underwater world that is full of adventure, danger, and riddles.
