Surfers, Boogie Boarder, or SUPer you are invited to ride for this unique beach fundraiser to help recovery in our community. Southern Ocean Chamber member Sea Change Recovery Community Organization is hosting the 100 Waves 4 Recovery from June 1 to August 7. Catch 100 waves raises funds for peer recovery support services, by signing up at their website you are supporting individuals and their families seeking help with substance use disorder.
There is no fee for entry.
Together, through good times in the water, we are all showing that prevention is possible and recovery is real.
- Each surfer (or team of surfers) gets as many people or businesses to sponsor each wave you ride.
- Each wave represents X amount of dollars (sponsors choose) and surfers aim to ride 100 waves anytime and raise a suggested goal of $250 or more.
- Surfers keep track of the waves or have someone do it for you, share pics on social media and use the hashtags #SeaChangeRCO #100WavesChallenge #CrushTheStigma to win prizes!
- When you are done, tally up your results and have your sponsors pay the amount you raised to Sea Change RCO via the website or by check in snail mail by August 11th.
