Engage Toms River Community Mural Project
Collaboration is a key pillar of The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation. In our mission to support artists and art in our Toms River community we have a great partner in the Community Art Project of Downtown Toms River. Together we are building on the huge success of the 2013 Downtown Toms River Community Mural Project to announce the $10,000 Engage Toms River Community Mural Project.
The Engage Toms River Community Mural Project is open to all residents in Ocean County where the winning artist will receive a $10,000 prize and wide local and media exposure! There is no restriction on subject matter, just keep it G rated and civic minded please. Please review the Prospectus to understand all the terms and conditions.
The location is 207 Main St (Nancy’s Café) in Downtown Toms River.
Deadline for Entry
The deadline for entry is March 9, 12:00pm. For the Engage Toms River Community Mural Project Prospectus and Application click here:
We will then open it up on March 16-30th for the public to vote online for their favorite mural. The art will be shown at the River Market in Downtown Toms River, The Grunin Arts Center at Ocean County College, Community Medical Center and the Ocean County Library Toms River Branch. Digital replicas will be on WOBM.com and our website.
In April every visitor to the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library will be invited to paint the mural. Don’t worry—it’s paint by numbers so anyone can do it!
The Esteemed Jury
Juror Co-Chairs are made up of Toms River’s own internationally renowned artists, Danny Clinch, rock photographer; Brian Hanlon, official sculpture of the NBA. They will lead the panel to choose the Top 3 Finalists.
